Many in my network will be familiar with Tsubo/Pyeong/Ping common in Japan/Korea/Taiwan, but #didyouknow how this measurement came to be? Two Japanese tatami mats placed side-by-side form a square measuring approx 35.58 SF (3.3058 SM) or one Tsubo/Pyeong/Ping.While many lease documents will reflect the international SM measurement, the preferred colloquial unit is still Tsubo/Pyeong/Ping in these countries. #didyouknowfridays

Onomatopeias are crucial to the Japanese language because we feel the need to name every subtly unique sensation we come across in life. To describe softness, we have a wide selection of onomatopeias, like: ふわふわ - Fluffyふかふか - Cushyふさふさ - Bushyぷにぷに - Squishyぶよぶよ - FlabbyAnd there are new ones emerging rapidly in modernday Japan whenever no existing onomatopeias does justice to a sensation. So let me share a new addition of the 21st century. Imagine a group of Japanese high school girls running into a corgi. I don’t have a corgi so let’s do it with this Alpaca. わーかわいい!ふわふわー! Waa kawaii! Fuwafuwa-!It’s so cute and fluffy! And then one girl was like, “No. ふわふわ is an understatement. This… this cute-aggression-inducing softness and warmth can only be expressed with…もふもふ!!!And then the other girls were like, “That’s it. This is もふもふ🥹!!” And now it’s used nationwide. So I would translate もふもふ as UNACCEPTABLY FLUFF!!!By the way, here’s the link to the Capybara-san Plush Toy on Amazon, just in case 😂:https://amzn.to/4cKzvYtThe alpaca plushy is the mascot character of a Japanese chemicals manufacturer called Kuraray and is only available for sale at their office building 😂.Hi, I’m Kyota, the author of Amazon Best Sellers [Folk Tales of Japan], [Underdogs of Japanese History], and [Horror Tales of Japan].Please check out my books at ☺️: https://lnkd.in/gmv5jqmjhttps://lnkd.in/gCrWpqhj#cuteagression #cuteanimals #corgi #japanese #japaneselanguage #japan #japanese #kawaii

<Financial Frank Talk> This week, we discussed the Japanese yen and gold, which can be considered the two most noteworthy hotspots recently. Gold has reached new highs, while the Japanese yen has hit new lows. Despite the end of negative interest rates with the Japanese yen rate hike, the yen has not only failed to rise but has instead reached a 34-year low. What are the reasons behind this? Moreover, with Israel recently declaring war on Iran, the fear of war is imminent. As gold prices, serving as a geopolitical hedge, also hit new highs, can we say that the gold price has not yet reached its peak under the current uncertain geopolitical situation? To watch the episode: https://lnkd.in/gRxpyK2s(English subtitles are available in the CC section)#HantecGroup #FinancialFrankTalk #ChannelOne
