Subject: Great Reader
This is one of the best readers I've ever heard on Librivox or any other audio book for that matter. He does such a good job switching in and out of the various characters. Also it is a very good recording quality. I will look for more titles read by this guy. Awesome job. I've been doing Long John impressions every since listening to this adding "Not I" to the end of my sentences... Its annoying my friends, "but I won't stop at once I won't nooo, not I"

A wonderful reading. Loved the accents and different voices and speech patterns, and was delighted with the eccho- and layer-effects. Good job!

Subject: Terrific stuff!
This is a great book, packed with suspenseful drama, villainy, heroism and memorable characters. I was delighted to rediscover it through Adrian Praetzellis's excellent reading, full of vim and gusto, and bringing each character to life with their own distinctive voice. He does a good job of singing buccaneers too. I can't think of a better antidote for a rainy day. Enjoy!

Subject: Brilliant!
I can't believe I had not read/listened to this one before! The story is brilliant, and Adrian Praetzellis' interpretation makes it come alive. Well written, well read, and you should definitely listen to it as well! :) As for one of the other reviewers, the ladies thoroughly enjoyed the adventure, the blood and the violence.

Subject: Arrr!!!...shiver me timbers matey. Listen to this book.
I downloaded this book to listen to while driving on a long trip. I was so into this recording that I nearly drove out of gas. I wish the Coen brothers would make a movie based on this. In my mind's eye it was as if they were telling the story. I am not sure the ladies will appreciate the adventure, blood and violence. I loved it. I enjoyed how Robert Louis Stevenson ended each chapter with something that forced you to want to go on. I simply could not stop listening to this book.

Subject: What a great book
Treasure Island is one of my favorite books, I read it at least once a year, and this was my second time listening to it. I am always impressed by Mr. Praetzellis. He is such an excellent reader, I've enjoyed everything that he had read. His Long John Silver voice is just fantastic. I'm always thankful for his librivox contributions, he makes one of my favorite books a wonderful experience

Great enthusiastic reading. My son is severely dyslexic but truly enjoys a great book. Listening while following along helps with his comprehension and vocabulary. Thanks for contributing!

Subject: Classic sea adventure and a very good reading
Jim Hawkins is a young boy who lives at his parents’ inn, the Admiral Benbow, near Bristol, England, in the eighteenth century. An old sea captain named Billy Bones dies in the inn after being presented with a black spot, or official pirate verdict of guilt or judgment. Jim is stirred to action by the spot and its mysterious, accurate portent of Billy’s death. Hastily, Jim and his mother unlock Billy’s sea chest, finding a logbook and map inside.
And so begins a classic sea adventure. The reading by Adrian Praetzellis is very good indeed. Many thanks.

Excellent reading of this classic story.
The mixture of English West Country and East Ender accents is very effective. Singing is not bad either; you'll like the effect at the end of the last chapter. (The BookWorm, Manchester, UK)
